Before we can flip the pref on by default, we need to get the core bugs fixed. A number of major stability/polish fixes have been fixed on trunk and I'd like to backport these to 1.9.2. There are also a number of outstanding bugs on trunk that need to be fixed before I'd feel comfortable turning this on.
Is this still desired to have these bugs fixed before flipping the switch on 3.6.x? I noticed several other fixes landed on 1.9.2 already.

Looks like this isn't going to happen.
