User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a5pre) Gecko/20100420 Minefield/3.7a5pre Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a5pre) Gecko/20100420 Minefield/3.7a5pre This background is for better readability of texts in bookmarks bar. Also, white shadow behind text should be reduced when tabs are at bottom and removed when tabs are on top. This goes for menu bar as well when tabs are on top. See mockup for details. Reproducible: Always

Updated addressing feedback that the transparency was too much/distracting also showing more toolbars. http://svn.mozilla.org/design/projects/newtheme/strata/i06/Firefox-4-Mockup-i06-(Win7)-(Aero)-(TabsBottom)-(Extra-Toolbars).psd

In relation to shadow-text, things has changed too. When tabs are at bottom, shadow needs to removed completely, as the background itself is light. When tabs are on top, it will depends on where menubar is being showed - if above tabbar, shadow needs to be present for better text readability, if beneath tabbar, it needs to go away. Btw, I like previous background more, but oh well, I will have get use to it just like everybody else. :(

I agree with Peter. The background should be slightly transparent, similar to the previous mockups. Also, the shadows are very distracting, especially on Vista when the window is maximized, since I use a dark Aero color, so all extra toolbars should get the background.
