I am however able to receive mail. I cheched the settings are correct against my machine which still connects OK using the same setting through outlook. I have gone in and tick the smtp server password box but seamonkey refuses to ask for a password. When I check in Password manager The Pop3 password is recorded but the smpt server password is missing. Would love an add password box here. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Send a test email. to self. 2. 3. Actual Results: Message fails to send and get seand message error "Sending of message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to SMTP server smtp.cyberone.com.au timed out. Try again or contact your network administrator.

Reporter, please read bug 563230.
Hi Carrying out the modifications as described in bug 563230 did they did not work. The Test file still refused to send. However I did a work around by loading sea monkey on to a different machine that has windows 64 bit not 32 bit and the other machine works fine. So for me using the other machine for mail is no problem.
Did profile migrate from SeaMonkey 1.1 ? Firewall blocking connection or antivirus program? Check setting for SMTP Server in about: config - Write about:config into the URL bar and hit Enter. Type "smtp" (without the quotes) into the Filter box.
