Sometimes when I view messages in my inbox smart folder, TB will act up.  It happens when I archive (using the new archive button) the selected message if the next (or prev depending on which way the selection would move) message is from a different account than the one being archived.  Basically, nothing will be selected.  So what makes a smart folder different from a normal folder other than the search part?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Find a smart folder with messages from multiple accounts that makes sense to archive from.  (The trash button might work as well; however, I haven't tested it.)
2. Select a message and archive it
3. Repeat Step 2 until a message isn't selected for you.
Actual Results:  
When the selection would switch accounts, TB fails to select the next message.

Expected Results:  
When an archive operation happens, TB should select the next message regardless unless there isn't one.

While I selected x86_64 for the platform, that is the version of Vista I run.  TB is 32-bit.

Have you tried safe mode? (see https://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode for more information)

Any thing in Tools -> Error console when this happens ?

It did happen in safe mode, but I didn't think of resetting the error console before trying it.  I should expect the needed messages tomorrow.  That will give me another attempt.

Since "Archive" is effectively a "delete" from the item's current location, when you're in the "All Folders" view, nothing would happen when the last item is archived (view stays in same folder, nothing selected).  Should the selection cross accounts when in "Smart Folders" view ?

Do you still see this issue when using version 5 or 6 (due out a week)?
- If you no longer see the problem, please set status to RESOLVED, and set resolution to WORKSFORME.
- If you still see the problem, please provide updated details, and any additional steps needed to reproduce the problem.
