netflix instant fails to work with firefox, using the new silverlight 4.0 on a mac.
after uninstalling silverlight 4.0 and flash and reinstalling silverlight 3.0 and flash on a mac, firefox with netflix instant still does not work.
netflix instant still works with safari on a mac, with silverlight 3.0.
test pages do work with firefox with silverlight 3.0 on a mac.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to netflix, using firefox, with silverlight 3.0 or 4.0
2. click play
3. see loading screen infinitely.
4. try again with safari.
5. watch the movie.
Actual Results:
nothing. endless page load.
Expected Results:
nothing. endless page load.
the firefox browser should (and used to before the silverlight update) work with a mac to see netflix instant movies.
comment: firefox 3.6.3, silverlight 3.0 and mac and netflix used to work together beautifully.
since the silverlight upgrade to 4.0, firefox fails to work for netflix. it failed to work before getting the update to 3.6.3, and still fails to work since upgrading to firefox 3.6.3.
the only thing that changed is silverlight. there are apparently known issues with silverlight 4.0 and mac, but going back to 3.0 did not resolve the issue.
safari the only option for netflix with silverlight.
