Summary: Version property isn't rightly set → Version property isn't rightly set on application installer
From what I can tell this is an outcome of using 7zip and upx to make our installer executables. I think everyone is in the same boat, so moving to toolkit.
Component: Installer → NSIS Installer
Product: Thunderbird → Toolkit
QA Contact: installer → nsis.installer
Version: 3.0 → Trunk
This is the 7zip self extracting archive version and not the application version. Also, this is not something that actual users appear to care about since the couple of times this bug has been filed it has been by people working on one of the projects (even then it has only been filed a couple of times in the last 6 years). It is possible that some anti-virus products use this info so you might need to inform some of them when this info changes. If this is important to Thunderbird you can modify this info in the 7zip stub in http://mxr.mozilla.org/comm-central/source/other-licenses/7zstub/thunderbird/ I know it can be done manually (don't know if it can be automated) with reshacker or some other such utility. Not going to fix this any time soon if ever on the toolkit side so moving back to thunderbird installer in case you would like to update the info though personally I think this is wontfix.
