I searched for '3.6.4 schedule' in the top right search box in Thunderbird 3.0.4 and it found 0 results. I have messages which contain the exact string "3.6.4 schedule" as well as ones which mention "3.6.4" and "schedule" -- all of which I expected would come up.
Ben can you install glodaQuilla and see if your message as been indexed ?

if it has can you enable gloda debuging as described at https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Thunderbird/Gloda_debugging so we can try to figure out what your issue is ?

I've got a feeling there's something strange goes on with numbers and dots...
