User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.9) Gecko/20100317 Thunderbird/3.0.4 I've setup my ThunderBird to use the Draft folders on a specific (different) mail server for convenience and since sometime I don't logon on all mail servers before composing a message, during the writing and after the standard interval for saving the draft copy, ThunderBird displays an error message that it can't be done. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Setup the Draft folder to a different mail server (not locally, nor the usual one) 2. Logon into your usual mail account and start writing a message, wait at least until the interval for the automatic Draft saving elapses 3. Thunderbird will display an error message that the Draft copy cannot be saved Actual Results: Error message Expected Results: Logon dialog to allow "under-the-hood" access to the other mail server where the Draft folder is setup so that the system work fine The main issue here is that I cannot "temporarily" save a draft copy of what I'm writing in order to go fix the issue (which I like to be set that way anyway). The interesting thing is my outgoing mail is also set to use the same server as the Draft folder and that works correctly when I finally send the email, asking me to logon onto that server, but until then, all elapsed Draft saving will fail without asking to logon as it should do...
(In reply to comment #0) Can you manually copy a mail of other IMAP account to the Draft folder? Get IMAP log with timestamp, and check IMAP level flow. > https://wiki.mozilla.org/MailNews:Logging > IMAP command&response : http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3501 Is there funny flow with which Tb's flaw in code suspected? Enable dialog after draft save, Copies&Folders, [x] Show confirmation dialog when messages are saved and check with manual "Save As" instead of auto-save, and show "Oreder Received" column(UID of mail if IMAP), check UID of draft mail if draft mail already exists or is newly saved.
