Details

(Note: this is filed as part of the “Paper Cut” bugs — we assume that there may be multiple existing bugs on this. Please make them block this bug, and we will de-dupe if they are indeed exactly the same. Thanks!)

To reproduce:
1. Start Firefox
2. CMD-Click a download
3. a new blank tab is created with no content

Recommendation:
Do not allow no-content windows or tabs to be created
I think this is a dup of bug 346561. Note that Firefox can't tell whether a link will be a download until after it is clicked, so we have to create the tab and then close it when it turns out to be a download.
