Always reproduct, with POP, IMAP. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create a new message 2.Save it as a file 3.Thunderbird can't read it Actual Results: Get a .asc file that Thunderbird can't read Expected Results: Get a .eml file that Thunderbird could read.
