If i save a composing message (using the menu command), the format of the file is not eml but txt (.asc), and Thunderbird can't read it. Always reproduct, with POP, IMAP.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a new message
2.Save it as a file
3.Thunderbird can't read it
Actual Results:  
Get a .asc file that Thunderbird can't read

Expected Results:  
Get a .eml file that Thunderbird could read.
