If Firebug is turned on, then Search is broken

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install and enable Firebug
2.Don't activate it, i.e. you shouldn't be seeing the firebug panel at the bottom of the window.
3.Edit/Find
4.Start typing a phrase
5.It starts searching in the page - keep typing
5.At some point the phrase gets cleared and new characters entered, and the search starts searching JUST these new characters.
Please report this to the firebug developers.

I've dropped this one -
* Firefox people say its Firebug's problem;
* Firebug reckon its Firefox
see http://groups.google.com/group/firebug/browse_thread/thread/cbd7ca92130e4954#
and reckon its to do with Weave Bug #568256

Reckon buck passing between developers is a good way to make sure it won't get fixed so I'll stay out of it.
weave is a Mozilla.org addon for Firefox. bug 568256 is a bug in this weave addon and got fixed in weave (and not in Firefox!). It's possible that they have the same issue in Firebug an they have to fix that in Firebug.
