From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux 2.2.16-3 i686; en-US; m18) Gecko/20001010 BuildID: 2000101015 PSM won't accept new certificates from/for web sites. Unknown CA hangs after step 1. Closing step 1 window brings up step 2. Step 2 hangs. Same for importing CA's directly from crt files. Permissions look fine on files. Works fine on NS6RC3 even when using same files that M18 fails with. In M18 similar behavior occurs when attempting to Delete, window hangs, needs to be closed manually, but the deletion does take. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Click on URL link from smoketest page. Actual Results: Hang on Step 1 after clicking Next. No shell (stdout/stderr pipe) messages logged by browser after the window displays. Last message indicated following: >> Document http://3:nonce9941230217711282@127.0.0.1:4593/get? baseRef=bad_server_ce > rt_unknown_issuer1&target=4 loaded successfully << When clicking Next the button area of the step 1 window goes white. After closing Step 1 window (using KDE 1.2 clicking on the X), Step 2 appears. After selecting either of the Accept options and clicking "Finish" the window hangs without change (no whiteout area). Closing this window at some point is followed with a popup "operation timed out when connecting to http:www.modssl.org" message after a minute or two. Certificate is not changed. Similar behavior when using PSM to delete a web page certificate. The window hangs and needs to be closed manually, but in this case the database is updated (the deletion is successful). Expected Results: New CA's should be added to the database. The PSM windows should close automatically. This is basically a stock RH6.2 with package updates from RH site. kernel version is 2.2.16-3 (i686)
I see just the same behavior so I can confirm this bug on Linux trunk nightly 2000101521. I think it should be moved to different product (PSM).
My appologies for not catching this earlier. This bug is the same as 54860 and it has been fixed. Checking build 2000101712 it no longer exists. There are still some problems with PSM and deleting certificates unrelated to this bug as described.
