Make sure Adobe Reader is the most recent version. https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ Check for any recent crash reports. They can be found by typing about:crashes in the address bar.

I cannot reproduce it with a 3.5.8pre build Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.8pre) Gecko/20091231 Shiretoko/3.5.8pre (.NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.4506.2152; .NET CLR 3.5.30729)

Yes but the most helpful info would be the crash reports as described in comments 1 and 2. Additionally the exact version of Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat.

The crashing machine has win XP installed. I cannot reproduce this on Win7 with any firefox version (tested a lot) and Adobe Acrobat Version: 9.3.2.163 I will try to test more Firefox versions on the crashing XP machine and try to update to a more recent Adobe Acrobat version later.
