Hello!

I have disabled Preview wth F8 (for the reaon of security). But sometimes it is shown at program-start.

With automatic Mail-Download this could be a security problem - or not?

Not security sensitive. Looks like it is fixed in 3.0.5. Dupe to bug 518345.

You could test the 3.0.5 build2 candidate at http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/3.0.5-candidates/build2/ and let us know if this is fixed there.
