User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100403 Fedora/3.6.3-4.fc13 Firefox/3.6.3 Build Identifier: Clicking "reply" from a .eml file will always generate a quote starting with "On 01/-10/-28163 08:59 PM". The date is correctly shown in the message window, however. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Save the attachment to a file 2. Open it using File/Open/Message 3. Notice the date is "06/10/2010 01:02 AM" 4. Click "reply" Actual Results: The message starts with "On 01/-10/-28163 08:59 PM, Paolo Bonzini wrote:" Expected Results: The message should start with "On 06/10/2010 01:02 AM, Paolo Bonzini wrote:"
WFM with Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.2.4) Gecko/20100608 Thunderbird/3.1. What version are you experiencing this issue with ? Have you tried safe mode? (see https://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode for more information)
Fails for me in Safe Mode with Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.9) Gecko/20100430 Fedora/3.0.4-3.fc13 Thunderbird/3.0.4
Matej is this a Redhat distro specific bug ?
No, I could reproduce it with the 32-bit thunderbird download from Mozilla. Seems to be fixed in 3.1 then.
Still present in Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.9) Gecko/20100921 Fedora/3.1.4-1.fc13 Thunderbird/3.1.4
Version: unspecified → 3.1
Still fails with Thunderbird/5.0. Can anybody confirm this?
It's definitely still happening. I just tested with this buildid (today's). http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-miramar/rev/f1acd88f828e At 12:25 local time, I tried to reply to an email and it said "On 14:59, {correct person} wrote:" The email had this Date header: Date: Fri, 22 Jul 2011 10:40:25 -0700 ... and was displayed to me in my local time of 13:40. "14:59", same as always, for me.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:8.0a1) Gecko/20110725 Thunderbird/8.0a1 (latest-comm-central build available from ftp.mozilla.org) I'm in +0900 timezone. Date: Wed, 09 Jun 2010 19:02:30 -0400 is sown as 2010/06/10 8:02 (right for my timezone) When click "Reply" On 4:59, xxxxxx wrote: (wrong time, no date available) I generated some .eml files from my stock email which have different Date header. And I got the same On 4:59, xxxxxx wrote: (wrong time, no date available) from all of my .eml files. So I suppose this is the problem only when replying .eml file.
