When selecting subscribe for a news server, the hierarchy of groups is mostly sorted correctly (alphabetically) but in long lists there are often a few entries at the beginning that are out of order.

pinkerton saw something like this once. eric, and suggestions on how to reproduce it?
I don't know about repeatability. It happens everytime for me, even if I delete the server account and set it up again. I'm having a hard time doing anything with news since connecting to a server sends my mozilla-bin from 20 or so MB of memory to 65 MB. Is this typical? (My server has probably 20K groups.)
Is this bug a duplicate of bug 57663 which was recently fixed?
Sorry, not fixed, but still they still seem to be duplicates
