In TabCandy 0.4.1 (unavailable in Bugzilla version), when I drag & drop a link on the TabCandy, it navigates to the page, replacing the TabCandy view. I'd like to be able to drop the link on existing group to open it there, as well as to drop it on the "desktop" (how do you call the are, where tabs are placed?) to open it in no group. Ideally you should provide active feedback on dragenter, so that it is clear what will happen when I drop the link.
(In reply to comment #0) In the version on branch, dragging a link onto TabCandy is now allowed. The desired behavior is to: Provide an indication that you are dragging a link over tabcandy (by having a ghosted blank tab appear at the cursor location) acting just like dragging any other tab in Tabcandy. On release it drops where you put it (into a group or onto the tabcandy canvas).
Great! Is there a way to test that branch without having to build it myself? (i.e. nightly snapshots)

Punting to the future. This would also be a good place for an add-on to step in.

We're not going to address this with Panorama being slated for removal.
