This is fixed on trunk, & will be fixed in Firefox 4.0. New tab title is now "New Tab" -- it changed to that from (Untitled) in Bug 552166. (I doubt that that change will be backported to older Firefox releases, as it's not a security fix nor is it particularly critical in any other sense.)
