Details

The application hosted within an App Tab can be lost by clicking a bookmark while an app tab is the current tab. This will remain a concern even if by default the bookmark menu, toolbar and sidebar are are inaccessible/disabled when an app tab is active. The personal-bookmark widget can be moved via customization to the menu or tabs toolbars, making it permanently accessible despite the proposed changes to the UI for app tabs. One solution would be to disable all means of accessing bookmarks when the current tab is an app tab.

Rather than disabling the bookmarks menu (etc), I think we should make bookmarks open in a new tab if you're in an app tab.
Agreed. Please feel free to resolve as WONTFIX
(In reply to comment #1) > Rather than disabling the bookmarks menu (etc), I think we should make > bookmarks open in a new tab if you're in an app tab. But we should be able to run "Bookmarklets"
(In reply to comment #2) > Agreed. Please feel free to resolve as WONTFIX Indeed, this should be WONTFIX and bookmarks should be forced to open in a new tab.
That's bug #579872. This is a WONTFIX. Would create some very serious usability problems, as would disabling, by default, the navigation toolbar on app tabs.
AppTabs are suppose to be chromeless.
It hasn't been decided yet. As many things. That's the original plan, though.
I hope they add it at least as a option.
Just going to go ahead and WONTFIX this because bug 579872 is a solution that makes more sense.
