** Observed with 10/26/2000 MN6 build ** I'm filing this bug just in case the same bug was not filed before. Under the "shorter" folder pane display option rather the one in which the folder pane stretches all the way down, the folder pane width is never remembered no matter how many times, I resize it back to a proper width. There is also a paint problem wherein the account names in the folder pane window is notpainted in full. This is my default display option and for those of us using this display option, it requires us to adjust the width and make the account names re-draw. What a pain!
on linux, the "cure" is to resize the middle splitter so the folder pane is maximum width. Then close mailnews. Restart. The splitter will then be in "Normal" size. The alternative tree-pane stopped remembering size long ago btw, not long after that feature was finally implemented. Filed bug 54885 about that. This is a dup - marking as such. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 54885 ***

Hey, thanks for the info. The horizontal stretch workaround works more or less though I don't like the default width -- I would like it narrower. Well, let's get this problem fixed very soon. Verifying it as a duplicate.
