In migrated "Sent" folder, searched for word ("Mike") in message body. Some messages containing that string were NOT in the filtered message list. Also searched for word ("summer") in Subject. Filter also ignores / misses matching messages. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. View folder in question. Problem NOT restricted to imported "Sent" folder. 2. <ctrl>+F 3. Type filter text. Some matching messages are NOT displayed. Actual Results: Please see above Expected Results: "Filter" feature is terrific, but not so terrific if it hides some messages matching the search string

I am seeing this same problem in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.9) Gecko/20100915 Lightning/1.0b2 Thunderbird/3.1.4. Running IMAP. Searching for known terms in user-defined folders sometimes finds terms, but more often than not I get no hits.
Does it still happen in TB7/8? Could you attach any of the messages that was not matched? Choose some non-private one. Export from TB in .eml format and 'add an attachment' here.
Can't swear it's been fixed but I have not noticed this problem recently. Running 7.0.1 currently
