User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.2) Gecko/20100316 Firefox/3.6.2 GTB7.1 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: 3.6.8 Hello The FF 3.6.8 (no other version) crashes while trying to open any PDF file from the web service we are providing to our customers. The service works since ages. During tests on FF 3.6.8 it was detected that FF crashes. Ther is a link pointing to the servlet which produces the PDF and sends it back to the browser. The browser usually opens the PDF and shows the content in the frame (of frameset). It seems to happen with every AcrobatReader version. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Login to our service. 2. Click on any link pointing to PDF 3. FF crashes Actual Results: FF crashes. Expected Results: Should open PDF and display it as it was in previous versions. We've read through some of bug #531551 entries and am beginning to wonder whether it is in fact the same bug. The original bug seems to indicate a bug that existed already in version 3.6.x (where x < 8) but those version seem fine with the PDFs. Our bug appears only in latest update 3.6.8. Maybe its worth looking into it further rather than simply dismissing it as a duplicate. It may be worth asking what has changed between version 3.6.6 and 3.6.8.

you're using an out of date version of acrobat. update <period>. We will at some point block that version of acrobat from running at all.
