RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 574563

Details

When I run bin\activate on Windows 7, it reports, "ERROR: The system was unable to find the specified registry key or value." It's not clear what the specified key or value is or the ramifications of it not being found (perhaps it's the reason why bug 554709 does not appear to be fixed?).

At the very least, this message should be more informative. Perhaps there is also a bug here somewhere.
myk:Can you specify which build are you using?
WFM on jetpack-SDK-latest.zip as well as the tip - b723b1b890b6
I'm testing the tip (specifically, changeset bdb08e077013, which was actually the tip until about an hour ago, when one additional patch landed). I'm testing with Python 2.6.4, which is located in C:\Python26.

And I'm running a 64-bit version of Windows 7 with a 32-bit version of Firefox 3.6.8, which lives in C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\ rather than the usual location of C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\ (so perhaps bug 554709 is the culprit?).

The Add-on SDK is no longer a Mozilla Labs experiment and has become a big enough project to warrant its own Bugzilla product, so the "Add-on SDK" product has been created for it, and I am moving its bugs to that product.

To filter bugmail related to this change, filter on the word "looptid".
