Right now the context menu requires the frame to be loaded even if you happen to momentarily pass over the option. This could lead to unwanted cpu/memory usage from having an unwanted active tabcandy. We should be able to support moving tabs to another group without actually initializing the iframe yet still populate the menu. The group data is stored in sessionstore? And I believe there was a separate bug for an api to talk to sessionstore and know more about groups?
Depends on: 588217
this works with the keyboard shortcut, so making the summary specific to the scenario reported.
Summary: Allow moving tabs to groups without activating tabcandy → Allow moving tabs to groups via the context menu without activating tabcandy
Marking as P3. Is this a fx4 task, however?
Priority: -- → P3
Part of our goal here is to allow for Tab Candy to not interfere with normal usage of Firefox if you don't use Tab Candy. This is an edge-case, however, and I am happy to bump it to after Firefox 4.
Priority: P3 → P4
Target Milestone: --- → Future
We no longer allow you to have this option in the context menu unless you have run/used Panorama before. Mardak, is this still a desire, given that?
I guess if it's not possible to access groups without activating panorama, then this bug should be invalid.
