Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8 Build Identifier: 3.1.2 When right-clicking in the message list, if there don't happen to be any messages there, the program will produce a tiny grey box with a small grey dot artifact in its lower left-hand corner. It looks like the beginnings of a right-click menu with no options listed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open any instance of Mozilla Thunderbird (used version 3.1.2 to find this glitch). 2. Position your mouse cursor in the message list where there are no messages. If you need to, clear some messages out and scroll to the bottom, or maximize your window so that there is blank space. 3. Right-click in the empty space. Actual Results: A tiny grey box appears, the size of a few pixels. Expected Results: Nothing.
I don't see any artifacts with Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; rv:2.0b5pre) Gecko/20100819 Shredder/3.2a1pre. Have you tried in safemode (http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode) ?
The version used to find this anomaly was not the Mac OS X release. Also, the same thing happens in Safe Mode.
Wayne ?
