Details

Thunderbird 3.0.6 not tested in 3.1.2 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b5pre) Gecko/20100820 Shredder/3.2a1pre Unable to rename a folder to its own/same name, error that folder already exists (but name can be different because of case-sensitivity/uppercase/lowercase), i.e. "TEST" > "Test" also fails. Looks like bug 427711, but that one is resolved fixed.
Same thing happens in safemode I supose ? Are these imap folders or local folders ? Anything in Tools -> Error console ? If these are imap folders can you generate an imap log ?
Nothing in the error console, basic profile (always cloned before testing, only dictionaries installed). Local folder, no errors in console.
I've got this same issue on Windows 7 with Thunderbird 5.0. Can't rename "FOLDEr" to "FOLDER" as it will throw a "folder with that name already exists" error.
