We are in alpha now, but it is as good a time as any to update the Collector extension to be compatible. Close attention needs to be made to electrolysis changes:

The maxVer should also be bumped up to 4.whatever with this fix.
See:

I can be tester on mobile if needed .. not sure how the desktop builds for 4.0 nightlies are, but they are probably fine.

Hmmm. The desktop version of 4.0 seems quite buggy on Mac (can't even load a remote page).
I'll try to find a stable build/platform to test this on.

Mark,
Any tips on desktop builds?

Use Linux or Windows desktop builds. We have a few bugs open on the Mac builds due to turning on IPC support for webcontent.

Collector has been updated for mobile 4.0. Electrolysis was not an issue, but the following have been addressed:
- Updates for new AddonsManager API.
- Gecko 2.0 XPCOM registration.
r75292
Tested on Fennec 4.0b2pre (Linux desktop version) and tested for regressions on Fennec 1.1 and Firefox 3.6.
Most of this work should also go a long way towards Firefox 4.0 compatibility.

The chrome would not register on Android without:
<em:unpack>true</em:unpack>
... so I made the necessary build changes to accommodate this.
r80055.
There are some issues preventing the next release so I have filed bug 622270 and bug 622273.

I've just retested with the new re-factored code in the latest test version (1.2.4). Works a treat.
