We should definitely fix the issue with large screenshot. Those can use nearly the whole size of the details pane as you can see for the dom inspector.

Ah, that was meant to be fixed in the checked in patch for bug 562902, but there's a typo. Filed bug 593217.

Will this bug also deal with the removal of the navigation bar? As well as the colour scheme in List View?

Removing the navigation bar would be bug 571970 and isn't going to happen for Firefox 4.
