Bug 572529 makes pymake ok with m-c, so porting this to C-C will make building C-C easier with pymake.

Patched client.mk so pymake runs in c-c.
This actually looks good. And I am confident your errors when testing were due to relpath vs abspath running (pymake doesn't work with absolute paths atm).
I'll push this in just a few moments
