Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100802 Lightning/1.0b2 Thunderbird/3.1.2
My layout settings are customized - as in I don't have the preview pane, some folders with subfolders are collapsed. These settings are fine when I restart Thunderbird, but if I have a draft mail open while restarting, the setting all get reset to default values.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Thunderbird. Make sure you have customized layout settings. Start composing a new mail. Save it as a draft but don't close the compose message window.
2. Close Thunderbird. The draft remains open.
3. Open Thunderbird. Observe that all layout settings are reset.
Actual Results:
Thunderbird's layout was reset to defaults.
Expected Results:
Thunderbird should have displayed my customized layout settings.

so we have a big for the preview pane : ie bug 575864 and 573045. Can you check that you still have the issue in 3.1.3 ?

Sorry for the late update. I've checked on 3.1.3 and the problem does not exist anymore.
