This is a tracking bug for the localization of the whatsnew page for Firefox 4
beta 5. This bug is for all locales that had a beta 4 release.
Individual per locale bugs will be filed as dependencies of this bug.
The whatsnew beta 5 page is split in 2 tasks:
- translation of the page itself : /firefox/4beta/whatsnew/content-beta5.html
- translation of the subtitles for two videos:
/includes/l10n/videos/sub-fx4-audioapi.php
/includes/l10n/videos/sub-fx4-direct2d.php
The first video is about the audio API, the second video is about hardware acceleration on Windows.
the page:
https://www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-GB/firefox/4.0b5/whatsnew/
Once you have translated the subtitles, you can activate live proofreading (original subs on top, translation at bottom) with this url:
https://www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-GB/firefox/4.0b5/whatsnew/?comparesubs
(note that you need Firefox trunk or beta, not 3.6, since those are webm videos)

There seems to be a typo in the (en-GB) subtitles file for the Direct 2D video. I suppose, the „p“ in line 3:
$sub[1] = "Hi, this is paul Rouget from Mozilla.";
should be a capital letter.

ah yes, please put it as uppercase in your translation

There's another typo in the same subtitle file.
In the $sub[7] line it mentions 90 FPS while the video displays 91 FPS on the screen.

2 nits that drew my attention:
- How about adding a comma following HTML 5 for en-US (…in HTML 5, making …)?
- Shouldn’t we use ‘JavaScript’ (capital S)?

George, Ton, I applied and pushed your suggestions for all locales (except fixing the comma for the English version, I forgot, I will do it later :) )
