With 2.0.7 version, the flag of one or more filter to activ this don't stand in the value that I get.
(In french while that is difficult to explain :
dans la messagerie, le marquage comme actif des filtres peuvent disparaître. J'ai ce phénomène dans un profile créé avec la version 2.0.7 de test et est resté avec la version 2.0.7 de frenchmozilla.fr).
I must reactive the flag to execute the filter.
That is almost eatch times after the first session of Seamonkey.
I don't remark that on my other profil (I have 5 profiles).
Could-you see about ?

hello
I create a new filter with the same characteristics : this morning (after the updatind to 2.0.8), the both, the old and the new are "unflaged". This both move the caracterised mails to an folder, here in the trash folder of the local folders. The other filter move the characterised mails in the trash of the pop.mail. I can post the msgFilterRules.dat if you want.

Hello,
I explain that in english and in french beacause that is perhaps an bug... or one fuctionality unknown...
When the navigator of Seamonkey is running only (no window for the mail), if it's mails in the server, there is the bip whith the message : « you have x mails » and the messages are charged in background in the inbox.
If this messages must be filter whith the filter-rules, the message are charged but the filter is forced inactiv. Then the filter function become inoperante. I constate this, when I open the mail window : the messages aren’t filtered and the filter is inactiv.
When the Mail window is open whith the navigator (preferences-options), or if, before the navigator, the mail windows is open only (Seamonkey.exe –mail), the filter function run correctly.
But then solution give in your forul by Ed Mullen :
Edit - Preferences - Mail & Newsgroups - check the box for "Only check for new mail after opening Mail & Newsgroups." is runnig BUT this solution has one big default : the password's arn't automatic when we connect a site whith has a login and password registred in Seamonkey. When we untag this option, the login and password are automatic.
Then the solution is : open both the navigator and the mailer.
that is a default of Seamonkey.

That is my problem : my english is difficult : I write always, when that is not easy, my text in frensh also. "Télécharger" is to download and "charger" is to load : for the mails what is the good word when one mail is comming in the seamonkey inbox ?

I've started seeing this problem since SeaMonkey 2.8 in a fresh installation on Ubuntu 10.04.04 LTS, and it continues with SeaMonkey 2.9.1. Filters randomly get deactivated with the message that SeaMonkey Mail was unable to find the destination folder to move messages, but the folders actually are there. I can re-activate the filter and run it manually, and it works fine, but it may get de-activated again the next time it encounters a downloaded message from the POP server and tries to act on it. Strangely, it sometimes works without failing.

Happens to me as well. I've only noticed it since I upgraded from 2.7 to 2.8, Windows 7 x64.
In my case it's always the same filter that gets disabled:
1. It's an 'any' filter, with a lot of 'from contains' alternatives, move to a given folder. Most of the hits are on 'from contains @facebook'.
2. I moved 'from contains @facebook' to a NEW filter, move to the same folder.
3. Now the old filter doesn't get disabled anymore, but the NEW one does.
I even have the check on startup and check periodically disabled. It makes no difference.
Is this still happening? There was a similar problem in Thunderbird recently (and is fixed).
Are all your folders in the left folder pane expanded when you start Seamonkey (or receive new messages)?

This issue still exists. Just had it yesterday.
The folders are sometimes expanded like in the previous sessions, sometimes the newsgroups are opened which were closed in the last sessions (would be another bug report).

Do you use global inbox? I.e. several POP3 accounts are set to store mailbox in some other account, e.g. Local Folders? See in account settings -> server settings -> advanced.

This bug still exists on my system. Every week I have to reset all filter flags. Many Seamonkey updates were installed in the meantime but this bug was never fixed.

hello Christoph
Could-you restore your XP as my. I only restore without format ("sans formatage") (so I conserved all programmes there are activ : no reinstallation, except Seamonkey but without uninstall).

In my opinion, Seamonkey deactivates the filter flags while receiving mails and there is a race condition in the appliaction's exit code which does not guarantee all filter flags are correctly restored. I am not that familiar with the Seamonkey or Firefox code to analyze this on the source code level. But if anyone of the developers can confirm the flag handling, I am willing to help.
Right now I am using Windows 7 but I had the same issue on OS/2 some years ago.
Regards,
Christoph

hello,
this bug is coming a new this morning. I just add one line in autoexec.nt to rectify XP and to have the good keyboard with command.com :
lh %SystemRoot%\system32\kb16 fr, 850 /E
I must try to confirm this relationship between the both phenomenons.
