User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.9) Gecko/20100824 Firefox/3.6.9 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.9) Gecko/20100825 Thunderbird/3.1.3 Just upgraded to Thunderbird 3.1.3 and had occasion to add a Pop3 account of which I had all the details. The first dialog box of the The Add Mail Account wizard works fine but then on second dialog multiple bugs. If you try to do a manual setup you have to click stop button several time to get response dialog. If you click manual set up with a IMAP server specified in the automatic search dialog you can not change this in manual settings and have to delete the whole account. You can not get out of automatic search by clicking manual set up. I suggest with present software logic if you select manual setup, a dialog with a drop down box POP/IMAP server comes up. I also suggest that clicking on manual setup stops all those pointless automatic searches. The automatic configuration may be smart with common options, but it was totally lost with this particular ISPs options. I really think account configuration in the Server setting dialog should allow reconfiguration from IMAP to POP server even if this would be hell to rewrite code to deliver. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Tools>Account Settings...>Account actions>Add mail account...>Mail account setup>Contine 2.On next dialog the wizard starts to fall over if not detected automatically 3.If you select the go back option the dialog box is displayed truncated and you have to close window to get out and start again Actual Results: Frustrated new account creator when has used manual account configuration in Thunderbird from version 0.9 Expected Results: Easy manual configuration. If you back out of the second dialog (go back) the next time you you go from the first to second dialogue the dialog box is too small and clearly has been coded wrong. You have no way out but starting again with new account creation.

Pretty sure this is a duplicate of 549045... I'd dupe it myself, but don't have perms...
Sorry, that should have been: bug 549045
Sorry not wide enough searching. First part is. Following part is potentially not covered unless a full rewrite is happening. If you back out of the second dialog (go back) the next time you you go from the first to second dialogue the dialog box is too small and clearly has been coded wrong. You have no way out but starting again with new account creation.
I don't see a 'Go Back' button, I see the 'Start Over' link. When I click that, I get back to the first window with no truncation. More details on your setup? Platform? Extensions? Have you tested with a fresh/clean profile? So, I have to say 'Works for me' at this point...
