595800 - Help/check for updates on firefox ver 3.6.8 does not find the 3.6.9 update

I ran a PC Health Check offered by Shaw Secure which notified me of an update available for firefox 3.6.x. when I chose to use firefox's update in the help menu, it came back with No Updates Found... yada yada.I instead used the Shaw secure "solve" button which automatically linked me to Mozilla firefox 3.6.9 update page and I manually dowmloaded it. I tried 'check for updates a few times more while on firefox update page and it still returned "NO UPDATES FOUND, there are no updates available. FireFox will check periodically for updates."
Obviously right now, fire fox will not find any updates, even when they are available.


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.help
2.check for updates
3.returns Software Update Dialog box message= "NO UPDATES FOUND, there are no updates available. FireFox will check periodically for updates."
Actual Results:  
follow the 3 steps above in FireFox version 3.6.8 under HELP menue, left click: check for updates,Software Update Dialog box appears with message "NO UPDATES FOUND, there are no updates available. FireFox will check periodically for updates."

Expected Results:  
 the FF 3.6.9 update was not found when initiated from Firefox version 3.6.8 Help/"check for updates" 

Check for updates in FF 3.6.8 should have acknowledge the 3.6.9 update released September 7th, 2010 and downloaded it to my computer
