Details

(Whiteboard: [4b6][session-store-testday])

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b6) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b6) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b6

When using the "System Restore" screen, sometimes, a window will not open, with ALT+TAB, I see that it says "Authorization Request" and sometimes it just doesn't say anything but just keeps from opening the window.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get a session Restore window - such as from crash or stopping the Firefox process.
2. Choose to restore all windows (including some that required a pop-up login when you originally navigated to them)
3. Try to get to the window that had the pop-up password/login before. You won't be able to do so.

Expected Results:
I expect it to ask for login/password dialog and open the windows and tabs.

Is this a duplicate of bug 510179? Firefox intentionally just restores the contents of pages on restart.
You tell me if it is a duplicate. I don't think it is, as the other bug just says that the screen stays as it was before the crash. It seems that not even having the text that did show because of the failure to ask for a password is a bug.

Can you still reproduce this bug using 4.0b8pre?
