Thereafter Thunderbird will crash if I try to open it again. This seems to be quite repeatable. I just recreated it again before filing this report. I didn't find another report on this exact symptom, although I think it is closely related to my report two weeks ago in [bug 594904]. My last comment there indicated that things were working now. I may have been confused by the apparent "works once then crashes on subsequent tries" nature of this problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. use [Edit / Find / Search Massages...] to search Trash for messages that are junk and older than 100 days (perhaps the specific search criteria are not relevant?) 2. use "Save as Search Folder", setting it to search Trash and saving it as a subfolder of the main account (sibling of Inbox, Trash, etc.) 3. select that new search folder, see the old junk trash messages 4. select all messages in the search folder and delete them 5. select folder Inbox 6. select new search folder Actual Results: Thunderbird crashes Expected Results: Thunderbird does not crash I selected "Happens every time" for Reproducibility. I'm not certain of that. I may have seen it work correctly once or twice, but it certainly seems to crash quite regularly after these steps. As discussed in [bug 594904] my crash reports do not seem to be working correctly. I will include here the top part of the report as displayed on my desktop.
