600081 - progress notifications broken for image documents

When loading a large image directly in a tab (ie, http://www.planetary.org/image/MO1_MSLsites.jpg), I get a progress bar that appears and disappears at the appropriate time and place (URL bar or tab), but it never shows anything other than a 0% value, even when the image is clearly progressively loading.

That may well be true.

Shouldn't necko do something for this automatically? Do we need to add some hooks to nsImageDocument or something?

3.6 just has a progress spinner which masks this.

This bug is now obsolete due to removal of progress lines -> INVALID

A similar problem has already sprung up with the new throbbers -> bug 603658

I don't think this blocks now that we went back to the other style.  It's still visible (we never turn the bar green) but much less annoying.
