While we don't seem to be creating orphaned tabs (bug 595893) when a new tab is opened, we are making a tiny tiny group, sometimes (always?) hidden behind a different group. My guess is that this is a result of the fix for bug 595893

STR:
1. Create group of tabs, position the group in the top left
2. Create 2nd group of tab(s) - select tab from this group (this step might not be necessary, but reproduced this way)
3. Quit
4. Start Firefox
5. Open a link from an external app

At this point, the newly opened tab appears to be in current group it's in the tab strip along with the tab(s) you had open in the selected group.

6. Open tabview

Expected:
Either the new tab is in the group I was in, or in a new, clearly visible group

Actual:
There is a new group at 0,0 (?) for the newly opened link. When I reproduced, it was actually hidden behind a different group.

Raymond, looks like we've got a problem with bug 595893; can you look at this right away?

Since that patch landed in b7, perhaps we want this fix in b7 as well?
