User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0b6) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; ru; rv:1.9.2.9) Gecko/20100915 Thunderbird/3.1.4 This is about reading messages on an NNTP news server. Somebody may insert a message link in an article like news:<message-id here> real examples: news:1xw9syfxxvcpc.wqcjqykgz4af$.dlg@40tude.net news:i915aj$9je$2@news.kraft-s.ru In Knode (for example) when i click this link it opens a linked article in a separate window. I can read that article and close it. In thunderbird, when i click a link like this .. nothing happens. Thunderbird 3 may open news articles in tabs. I suggest to open clicked links in other tabs. I use public server news.kraft-s.ru and group kraft.test for testing. All links usually a local for server. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. take message-id from header of any nntp article. 2. create article with news: link via writing news:messahe-id in article body. 3. post this article, load and view it, and try to click the link. Actual Results: nothing happens. Expected Results: open a linked messahe in a separate tab, like as in other nntp readers (like Knode).
