Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0b8pre) Gecko/20101021 Firefox/4.0b8pre ID:20101021042123 Lost Tab After drag & drop tab in tabstrip and using Panorama. It is *often*. Steps to Reproduce(For exsample): 1. Start Minefield with new pofile 2. Open 3 tabs (now [ A ][ B ][ C ][+]) 3. Pinned 1st and 2nd tab (now [A][B][ C ][+]) 4. Enter Panorama, and exit Panorama 5. Drag & drop 1st pinned tab to left sideof [+] (now [B][ C ][ A ][+]) 6. Enter Panorama 7. Close a Group([B] and [ c ]) 8. Move border of right-bottom corner of remaining tab[A](maybe) by mouse dragging 9. Wait for a while Actual Results after step9: No tab in Panorama 10 Exit panorama Actual Results after step10: tab [ A ] will be lost forever Expected Results: The tab should not be lost.

Can you provide a screenshot of what your Panorama UI looks like after this? It sounds similar to bug 606429. These bugs will probably be solved by bug 598600.

Ah! Thank you, it has become more clear to me what is going on. When you are closing your groups, you still have an app tab floating around, and we don't account for it in the UI. This isn't a dupe of bug 596781, though it should be fixed by it.

These exact steps are too contrived for a litmus case. However, the general case fo app tab retention is covered through various existing test cases.
