User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0b6) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b6 Build Identifier: OSX has the ability to print to PDF and attach the result to an email in one step. This feature is wired into Apple Mail, but can be easily extended to Thunderbird now that Bug 287345 is fixed. I'll bring across my patch which was in that task to make it easy for OSX users to integrate Thunderbird. Reproducible: Always

I've attached a file which can be opened with AppleScript Editor, saved as an "application" and then placed in /Library/PDF Services/Mail PDF to Thunderbird.app Once you do that, and with David's patch, you can email PDF through Thunderbird from any application in OSX. I'd like to see my applescript idea actually embedded inside the Thunderbird.app itself. Then we can simply put an alias to /Applications/Thunderbird.app inside the /Library/PDF Services/ folder and we are all done. I see other applications (like ShoveBox) which do exactly that. Ideally, Thunderbird would automatically add such as alias on first launch or ask the user if they'd like that.
Hi, I've created the application and placed in the PDF services directory. Had created David patch and saved it to the desktop. When I open a pdf file in preview and click on Send selected PDF document, it launches mail.app, even though thunderbird is the mail default application. How is it supposed to work exactly. Where should David patch be stored and how does your application interact with it?
