When one enters the full name of a group in the search-widget of the Usenet subscription-managing window, the matching group is not shown... Other groups, which contain the entered string as a substring are shown...
For example, entering comp.lang.tcl lists: fj.comp.lang.tcl, fr.comp.lang.tcl, han.comp.lang.tcltk, pl.comp.lang.tcl. But NOT the actual comp.lang.tcl itself...
