For users in Mountain View, Toronto, and everywhere. Seems to have been since the work done a few weekends ago to revise our firewall, and part of bug 605064.

Can you provide some additional details such as how one would normally access the site so I can attempt to either reproduce the problem or catch it occurring?

Can you send a traceroute to the host when it works and again when it doesn't?

The work in the office was not remotely related to the physical or logical location of etherpad so it would be ill advised to associated one with the other.

etherpad lives in san jose.  

I could buy in that Mountain View users are impacted by the firewall change but Toronto hasn't had an firewall change and doesn't route through Mountain View to get there (traceroute etherpad.mozilla.com for instance).

So it's something else - it's not related to Mountain View.

I'll keep an eye out for it; wasn't using EtherPad today. If you want to resolve this as FIXED, I can re-open if it happens again.
