608990 - New Tab (click on '+') doesn't work sometimes

When several tabs are opened, the '+' button which lets you open a new tab doesn't work well. If the mouse pointer is over the '+', the click will not work.
But you put the pointer around the '+' it will work.

Then, if you open a new tab, the '+' button will work normally. If you close the newly tab, the '+' button won't work.

In my case, there was 3 tabs opened when it happened.
Possible that it happens when tabs are always opened.

Is it reproducible for you? Do you see any failures in the Error Console (reachable under Tools menu)? Does it also happen in Safe Mode (http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe Mode)?

I frequently experience this as well. I'm using Firefox on Linux x86_64 (Fedora 13), built from Mercurial (Tag: FIREFOX_4_0b7_RELEASE).

I have not yet observed any predictable circumstances which cause this to happen, but I will try to have a look at the error console the next time this occurs.

Would be great to have some reproducible steps here so we could do a regression test. Is this new in Firefox 4.0?

I also confirm that. Sometimes i use the older version (3.6x) in order to use some plug-ins not yet compatible with the new version, and i never encountered this problem.

Any steps to reproduce this bug with a fresh profile? That would help a lot.

Also please check the older beta releases of Firefox 4.0, which could give as a hint when it has been started.
