Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. File, Save As, File
Expected Results:
Open dialog in a position typical of a Mac app.

Frank, or anyone on MAC, can you attach screenshot of current default position (and expected position) of Save As dialogue on MAC?
If it's worth fixing, I imagine this should be easy to fix.
Otherwise it would be wontfix ;)

Attached is a screenshot of Safari's 5.1's Save As dialog window. Every native Mac app I tested made dialogs with these characteristics: 1) positioned below the app's toolbar with a gradient blending the two; 2) slight transparency so you can see content; 3) modal window within the scope of the owning app -- the app itself can still move, resize, and scroll its window. Hint: Microsoft's apps *mimic* the position but do not look or behave precisely correctly. So it seems there's room for a little cheating here. ;-) Additionally, when Apple introduced Versions to OS X (in the 10.7.x series) the language "Save As" was changed to "Export." That's a note for completeness.
Current behavior of all Mozilla's applications is to open a centered (within the screen) modal dialog window.

Eckard, do you see this?
(Frank is no longer using Thunderbird)

Yes, the Thunderbird save dialog box is still placed somewhere in the middle of the screen.
It doesn't bother me....
