615287 - start page's "tabs from last time" ends up hanging around too long

Frequent situation for me:
* Fennec restarts
* Fennec reopens to the start page, showing me my "tabs from last time" as the primary thing on the page
* I click on one of the "tabs from last time"
* I start surfing...
* ... hours or days later, I still have an open tab telling me about my "tabs from last time." 

This dangling tab, now useless some time after it opened, is a bit irritating; not a huge problem but seems like something that could be looked at as a polish issue at some point.

I'm not sure what the solution is. A few might be:

* opening all my tabs from last time on restart, instead of taking me to a start page. (I assume there is some reason why we're not acting like desktop firefox on this?)
* Make "open all in tabs" more prominent, and have it close the start page.
* Have the start page move to displaying something else in that area after a given amount of time, when tabs from last time are likely to be less useful.

This is what we're doing in many cases now (since bug 617851 landed).

The other suggestions in comment 0 might still be useful.
