Details

Seen when attempting to setup a current minefield nightly build against an account previously setup on Fx4b7 STR: 1) Setup a Sync account with Fx4b7, sync. 2) get current minefield nightly and attempt to setup Sync using the account created in step 1. 3) Proceed to the Sync Key dialog Notice that it will allow you to type (though auto corrects to the simple crypto key format). This is another scenario where it is totally unclear what's about to happen. (users won't know to enter a random key here. I myself said "wtf?" and thought it was broken 'til I entered a random key, submitted it, then went to client A to sync. At which time client A told me I had to Update Firefox Sync) When we get to this dialog in this scenario, can it determine that client B is more up to date than client A? Then give a sync key dialog more like the update sync key dialog, with generate key only and a warning message that all other clients will have to upgrade to the latest version of Sync.
We're planning to change the UI to allow you to type your old passphrase here.
