The reason I say this is because, when I used earlier versions of Firefox I very rarely saved tabs, but now I have to save tabs in order to make tab groping useful. When I say that I want a group that is never saved, I don't mean that I want the volatile tab group itself to disappear, rather that it is reset on quit to a group containing just a single blank tab.
