User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b8pre) Gecko/20101208 Firefox/4.0b8pre Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b8pre) Gecko/20101208 Thunderbird/3.3a2pre Attached text files (.txt) are always displayed inline. The option "Show attachments inline (on/off)" from the Message window's menu doesn't have any impact on text files. Suggestion: - Please make text files part of the regular "show inline" option from the message window menu - AND provide an additional option to chose the file types to be displayed inline (.jpg, .gif, .txt...). In that case people could chose the file types they want be displayed inline and which not. ==> This new/additional option should also become part of the message window menu. Reproducible: Always
Rediscovery of already reported Bug 583419?
Yes, bug 583419 describes the same problem. But bug 617874 additionally requests an option to chose which file types to be displayed inline (and which not). Would it be better to mark bug 617874 as dup of bug 583419 and to open a new bug only for > - AND provide an additional option to chose the file types to be > displayed inline (.jpg, .gif, .txt...). In that case people could > chose the file types they want be displayed inline and which not. > ==> This new/additional option should also become part of the > message window menu. ? Or maybe we leave bug 617874 open and just change its summary/headline to something like "Provide an option to chose which file types to be displayed inline" ? .
(In reply to comment #2) > Or maybe we leave bug 617874 open and just change its summary/headline to > something like > "Provide an option to chose which file types to be displayed inline" ? > . More people activity on the other bug so dumping to it. Comment on the other bug though.
