User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101203 Firefox/3.6.13 Build Identifier: Thunderbird 3.1.7 (also 3.1.6 and probably before that) Crash when sorting large Inbox. This crash has been happening occasionally for several months. Probably related to my very large Inbox. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open my largest inbox, almost 12K messages. 2. Click on sort by 'From' column. 3. Click on sort by 'Subject' column. Actual Results: Crashes, brings up Apple Crash report dialog. Contents have be copied below. This happen twice in a row with new 3.1.7, and had happened frequently (several times a week) with 3.1.6. Probably with older versions. Expected Results: It should not crash. It should have sorted the inbox emails and displayed them in the correct order. This is one inbox of seven, the largest. 11,962 messages today, 336 MB. Wow. Does not happen as frequently if I compact a folder. Also, I seem to have a very large Drafts folder, which I had not noticed before. 167.3 MB.
I compacted the inbox, drafts folder, and emptied the trash. I got two more crashes doing the same thing as reported above.
